We are excited to announce that our very popular Nutcracker Tea will be held on Sunday, December 12th at the Graduate Annapolis hotel.
Your safety is our top concern, which is why we have made some important changes to the way people will be seated, how the dancers will dance, and how Santa will welcome the children. Just like other areas of our lives, things will be a little different this year.
Instead, of sitting on Santa’s lap, pictures will be taken of each child putting their letter in Santa’s mailbox in front of the stage. Santa will also be in the picture, seated on stage and more than 6 feet away from each child. Children will be given paper and pencil to write a note to Santa upon arrival and after the Nutcracker Tea dance, we will invite children (by table number) to deliver their message to the mailbox. We hope we can capture the excitement of your child dropping a note in the mailbox with Santa waving on. Mrs. Clause will read “The Night Before Christmas” and the children will still be allowed to come forward for a social distanced seating on the floor if they would like.
This year guests will not be able to select there seats based off of a seating chart instead we are asking families and groups of friends to purchase whole tables of 10. If you are not able to do this, you may be placed with another group. In addition, everyone will be required to wear a mask when they are not seated at their table. The number of attendees at each seating is being reduced so that there is plenty of room to move around and social distance.
The Brunch/Lunch Buffet line will be behind Plexiglas and served to you by staff of the Graduate Annapolis hotel. You will still be able to choose which items you would like and all hotel staff are required to wear a mask at all times, and required to wear gloves when handling food and beverages.
We can't wait to celebrate the holiday with you this year, even if it looks a little different.
