You're invited! Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 6:00-10:00pm.
This year's event will support the programs of Boys & Girls Club of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County’s Bywater location. BGCAA’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The Bywater location was the first Club to open its doors in Anne Arundel County back in 1988, and serves children living in the Bywater Affordable Housing Community. Traditionally, the Club is open after school from 3-7pm, and provides homework help, dinner, and programs that focus on Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Leadership. During the pandemic, BGCAA extended their hours to 8am-5pm, and now provide real-time support during the school day, reliable wi-fi, and 3 meals a day in addition to the traditional Boys & Girls Club programs. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to provide funds for a new designated teen room, STEM and other program equipment, and resources to help Club and community members get back on track to their great futures.
In 2019, Annapolis Rotaract’s Rock the Dock event sold out and raised over $16,000 for the Live Water Foundation. We are excited to host another successful event to give kids, no matter their background or circumstances, the opportunity to succeed.
Your Rock the Dock ticket is all-inclusive, which provides you with bottomless1 beer, wine, orange crushes, local BBQ, and appetizers while enjoying live music by Loose Ties! There will also be games, raffles, and a silent auction. We can't wait for you to join us for a fun Summer night overlooking the Chesapeake Bay at the Annapolis Maritime Museum.
